Manage Overall Runbook Notifications and Communications

For Communications and Notifications which are sent from ICEFLO, Administrators in the instance have the ability to set default preferences with regards to the Communication options.

Client Configuration - Notifications, Communications, Escalations.

Each client can configure the default setting of these from within the Admin Domain > Configuration.

The values that are entered here will be the values which are pulled through by default when creating a Runbook. These can be overwritten by the Deployment Manager at time of creation, or later on from the Runbook Details screen.

Runbook Communications Default - when this is checked at client level, it means that when a user creates a Runbook the Comminications checkbox  on Create Runbook will be checked by default. If at client level this is unchecked then when creating a Runbook the checkbox would not be checked by default.

Runbook Notifications Default - when this is checked at client level, it means that when a user creates a Runbook the Notifications checkbox  on Create Runbook will be checked by default. If at client level this is unchecked then when creating a Runbook the checkbox would not be checked by default.

Runbook Escalations Default - when this is checked at client level, it means that when a user creates a Runbook the Escalations checkbox  on Create Runbook will be checked by default. If at client level this is unchecked then when creating a Runbook the checkbox would not be checked by default.

Notifications and Communications at Runbook Level

As explained at Client Level the defaults which are set there are pulled through when creating a Runbook, but can be changed by the deployment manager on Create or from the Task Details screen.

These Checkboxes at Runbook level go hand and hand with the Task Flags.

Runbook Communcations

If this checkbox is enabled at Runbook level, Trigger Comms is enabled and the User has been chosen to receive communications then any Communication messages which are triggered from the Runbook will be sent to the User.

If this checkbox is disabled and the Communications flag has been added to tasks Users will not receive Communication messages as they have been disabled at the Runbook Level.

Runbook Notifications

If this checkbox is enabled at Runbook level, Notify Owner is enabled and the User has been chosen to receive communications then any notification messages which are triggered from the Runbook will be sent to the User.

If this checkbox is disabled and the Notify Owner flag has been added to tasks Users will not receive Notification messages as they have been disabled at the Runbook Level.

Runbooks Escalations

If this checkbox is enabled at Runbook level, Trigger Comms is enabled and the User has been chosen to receive communications then any Escalation messages which are triggered from the Runbook will be sent to the User.

If this checkbox is disabled and the Communications flag has been added to tasks Users will not receive Escalation messages as they have been disabled at the Runbook Level.
