Notify Team
There are times when there is no one owner for a task. Often these task will be aligned to a team rather than an individual.
Communications can be sent to teams rather than individuals, to notify the team that a Task is available for activation.
In order for a notification to be sent to a team rather than an individual there is some criteria which must be met.
- Notify Owner must be enabled for the Task
- The Task must not have a named Owner
- The Task must be aligned to a Team
If Notify Owner is enabled and the Task is aligned to an individual then the Task Owner will receive the communications for the task.
If Notify Owner is enabled for a Task and the task is aligned to a team only then Users of the owning Team and who are part of the Deployment Team will receive the notification for the task.
If Notify Owner is enabled and the Task has no Owner, or a Team is aligned then the notification will be sent out to the Deployment Managers of the Runbook.
Remember users will only receive notifications if comms are set to go out from the Runbook from the communications panel, notifications have been enabled at the Runbook level and the user is set to receive these from their personal settings.
