Runbook Gain Chart

The Runbook Gain chart can be found on the Dashboard Screen. When plotting the Gain, Users can set an Acceptable Late Tolerance which can be entered by the Deployment Manager of the Runbook. The Runbook Gain Chart summarises the progress made in a Runbook over the period of it's duration.

Acceptable Tolerance

The Acceptable Tolerance for the Runbook Gain chart is set by the Deployment Manager from the Runbook Details screen. This is the set to allow users to articulate an acceptable level in which the Runbook can be ahead or behind time. For example if this is set to 45 mins, the Deployment Manager is saying that ideally the Runbook should not be greater than 45 mins behind schedule, resulting in all points in the chart falling underneath the tolerance line.

If the Runbook was to be ahead of time then the Runbook Gain chart would highlight areas in the Deployment which were quicker than expected.

Runbook Gain

From the above example we can see that the Runbook at 10:26 was 2 minutes ahead of schedule so the Gain line falls under 0. As the Runbook progresses you can see that delays were encountered as the Runbook begins to fall behind schedule and the Gain line increases.

The orange section which runs horizontally across the chart is the Acceptable Tolerance which is entered by the user.
