Task Auto Activate and Complete

When adding or updating a task you have the ability to set Tasks as Auto Activate and/or Auto Complete. If these settings are applied the tasks will start and complete without any user interaction.

Task Auto Activation

If a Task is set to Auto Activate this means that on Competition of any predecessors and any Explicit Start Times being reached, the Task will become active with no interaction from the User.

Task Auto Activation can be set from the Task Details screen by checking the check box or via the Edit Tasks screen.

Tasks which have been suspended before their forecast start time will not Auto Activate until the Issue has been resolved and the suspension has been removed from the task.

Task Auto Completion

When a Task has been marked for Auto Completion, once the Task duration has passed, the Task will transition to the state of Complete with no interaction from the User.

Task Auto Completion can be set from the Task Details screen by checking the check box or via the Edit Tasks screen.

Tasks which have been highlighted for Auto Completion can still be completed by a User if required, this can only be done while the task is still in an active state. Tasks which have been suspended and which are set to Auto Complete will not complete until the Issue has been resolved.
