Move Multiple Stages
You have the ability to move multiple stages at one time from the Edit Tasks Screen. To move more than one stage at a time, from the edit tasks screen select the stages you wish to move via the stage header checkbox. From the burger menu then opt to Move Stages, this will launch the move stage modal window.
Please note that only a maximum of 10 stages can be moved at one time
From the Move Stage Modal window you should select the target Runbook and Phase where you want the Stages to be moved to in the Runbook. Just as when moving multiple tasks, the same options are present for which information you wish to retain when moving the stages.
Retain Predecessors
When moving multiple stages you can choose to retain any predecessor tasks which are outwith of the selection which are being moved. If this checkbox is checked then any predecessor dependencies which exist will remain once the stages have been moved. For tasks which have dependencies within the selection of tasks being moved, these will always be retained regardless of the checkbox being checked or not.
Retain Successors
When moving multiple stages, again like at task level you have the ability to retain any successor tasks which are outwith the Move Stage selection. If this checkbox is not selected then only the successor dependencies which exist between the selected stages will be retained once the stages have been moved. If the box is checked then any successor dependencies which are outwith the selection will be retained.
Retain Ownership
When moving stages in an Runbook you have the option to Retain the Ownership of the Stages being moved. If you are the Deployment Manager of Target Runbook then when the stages are moved and the ownership retained, these Task Owners and Team wills be added to the Deployment Team of the Runbook. If you are not a Deployment Manager of the Runbook to which the stages are being move to then Ownership of the stages being moved.
Retain Notes
When moving stages you also have the ability to retain notes which have been attached to the stage or the tasks within the stage. When retaining notes the author of the note will always remain regardless of whether they are part of the deployment team or not.
Retain Documents
If you wish to retain Documents when moving stages, you can do so by checking the retain Documents checkbox. This will retain any documents which have been attached to the Stage and Tasks within it.
