Creating a Runbook with a Pre-Implementation Phase
This article describes how to Create a Runbook with a Pre-Implementation Phase at the time a Runbook is created.
Note that it is also possible to add a Pre-Implementation phase to an existing Runbook as long as the Runbook has not been activated. Users must be of Author level or above.
The Pre Implementation Phase can be used to hold tasks which must be completed before the Cutover can begin. All Pre Imp tasks must be completed before you can Activate the Runbook.
Create a Runbook with a Pre-Implementation Phase
To Create a Runbook with a Pre-Implementation phase, at the Create Runbook - Details screen, (which you can access after the selecting the Create Runbook option from the Edit mode in List Tasks):
Insert the Runbook details.
Check the Pre-Implementation Phase option and select Apply.
After creating the Runbook, you will be automatically navigated to the Runbook List Tasks.

By following these steps, you can see on the List Tasks screen, that you have created an Runbook with a Pre -Implementation Phase as well as an Implementation Phase to which Tasks can be added via the Add Tasks button on the Run mode or the add Tasks action rows in the Edit mode.
