Edit Task Modal Window
By clicking on a Task title, the Task modal will be launched. This allows users to make edits to Tasks.
The top section of the modal contain Task information, this will remain the present regardless of the tab which you are viewing in the bottom section of the panel.
From the detail tab you are able to update:
1. Task Title
2. Owner - who is responsible for carrying out the task, a task can be owned by either an individual or a team
3. Team Alignment - which the team is responsible for the task, again the task can be owned by an individual or a team
4. Explicit Start Time - the time given to a task which it can not start before
5. Task Duration - the time which is required for the task to be completed
6. Apply Task Flags - from here you can add the flags of Notify Owner, Trigger Comms or set the task as a Milestone Task
7. Skip Tasks - allows you to skip activity in your Runbook, for example during dress rehearsals
8. Description - this can be used to store information with regards to the task
9. Technical Detail - this can be used to store any technical instructions with regards to the task
10. Comms Message - here users can enter a comms message which will be sent via email on completion of the task
11. User Defined Fields - these fields can be used to hold any other additional information with regards to the task, up to 100 characters
The issues tab allows users to raise Issues at task level. Any issues which have been raised at task level will be listed here also. From this tab users can click through to an Issue which have been raised.
The Times tab records the timings which the task has been given and can be very useful post deployment for reviewing when tasks were planned to be carried out, compared to when they were actually carried out.
The Baseline Duration is stamped once a task is approved
The Baseline Start and End Times are stamped once the Runbook is Approved
The Planned Times are stamped once the Runbook is committed
Once the Runbook is active forecast and actual times are recorded, until an actual time is reached the forecast time will show the most up to date information.
Dependencies can be managed from the dependencies tab, from here predecessors and successors can be added and removed from tasks. More information on dependencies can be found - Dependency Creation
Back Out Triggers can be managed from the BO Trigger tab
Notes can be added to a task during any stage of the lifecycle. But please remember that once a Note has been added to a task it cannot be removed.
Documents or links to documents can also be added to Tasks, once uploaded these can be removed or more can be added. There is no restriction on the type of document which can be uploaded or how many.
